Jacob Ewe Flock

Maple Hill Dorcas A100-06

Huntsberger Deirdre FF045-05

Sweetgrass Susanna D074-06

(Skokan's Abner x Puddleduck Nell), Twin...Dorcas has lovely fleece, strong horns, had a really well marked, nice ram lamb this year.

Deirdre came with Jamie to the AGM here in VT two years ago, and with her daughter, Charlotte, stayed. Charlotte has moved on to a new flock. In '06 Deirdre had a gorgeous 4 horned, black socked, black muzzled ram lamb who did some work here and then moved on to another farm. Spring '07, from the shape of her, I will risk predicting she'll have twins. A little standoffish, but better than before.

(Rockies Myrddin x Sweetgrass Galadriel)
New to this farm from Peg Bostwick in '06.

Maple Hill Mimi A002-03

Maple Hill Benjie Lasseau FF017-07

Maple Hill Hannah A102-06

(Puddleduck Olivia and Marsh View Horatio )
She has a loose lateral, which she somehow damaged when she was about a year old. It leans against her cheek, but doesn't come off nor tighten again. She is a little standoffish, unlike her very sweet and friendly mother, but has lovely fleece. She makes NICE babies.

Benjie is one of two ewes I purchased from a shepherd north of here, who bought 5 Lasseau ewes and one ram 25 years ago, and who has added no outside ewes, and changed rams 3 times...so I guess they are as pure Lasseau as one can find these days. Very strong horns, despite the fact that Benjie broke off the top of one of hers a year ago, great fleece, nice twins this year. She's an old girl, not quite sure HOW old..

(Skokan's Abner and Maple Hill Elnora)
Hannah of the slightly fey look, daughter of my dear Elnora who died last year, she features Craft, Fairview, Puddleduck and Jacob's Ladder antecedents. Very nice fleece. Her ram lamb this year has great fleece.

Unzicker Allison C032-07,

Maple Hill Turtle A115-05

Maple Hill Caroline B072-07

(Southwind Pied Piper x Unzicker Ava)
I FINALLY got a granddaughter of one of my all time favorite ewes, Royal Unzicker's Avonlea, and she decides that TODAY she won't hold her head up like her Granddam does, deer like. Oh, well...Very friendly, very nice fleece
(Tomasina x Skokan's Abner) Named by my grandson, Peter, who is obsessed with turtles. She broke off one of her laterals early on. She will have her first lamb(s?) '07 as a yearling.
(Maple Hill Joshua x Maple Hill Elnora)...another of Elnora's progeny, who also features Huntsberger blood in her veins, as Joshua's dam is Deirdre, whom I bought from Jamie. One of my favorites despite her less than cookie cutter perfect face.

Maple Hill Jacqueline Lasseau FF016-07

Maple Hill Amanda B071-07,

The second of the ewes I got from the Bartletts, from Lasseau lines. Jacqueline, unlike her older sister (we think), has become very friendly since she arrived here. She has very good fleece, has a little ewe lamb this year. Last year, twin ram lambs.

(Unzicker Captain x Maple Hill Mimi), Amanda didn't get bred this year...She was one of five in with a ram lamb who didn't "get it" until the last three days of the breeding period; he bred three out of his five girls. She has lovely fleece, and her grandparents are Maverick Magnus, Joy Farm Stella, Marsh View Horatio, and Puddleduck Olivia, winners all! I look forward to beautiful lambs from her next year.
